  • How often should I do Pilates to see the best results?
We recommend attending Pilates sessions three times a week to achieve optimal results. Consistency is key, and this frequency allows you to build strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness effectively. However, it's essential to consider factors such as your time availability, financial investment, stress levels, and the risk of burnout, particularly if you're combining Pilates with other forms of exercise. If you find that you can attend more than three sessions a week without feeling overwhelmed, you may see improvements even sooner.
  • What should I wear for Pilates?
Non-slip or grip socks are mandatory in all of our classes to protect your feet, provide added stability and hold poses. Tops should be slim-fitting to ensure you and our instructors can check your form. Ladies can wear low-impact sports bra. Bottoms should be fitted and not be loose. Sports leggings or shorts with ample stretch.
  • How long is the duration of each class or session?
Each session at Manawa Studios runs run for 50 minutes.
  • What is the cancellation policy at Manawa Studios?
We require clients to cancel or reschedule their class or session no later than 12 hours before the scheduled start time. This policy allows us to manage our class sizes effectively and offer those spots to other clients who may be on a waiting list. We strive to be flexible and understanding, so if unforeseeable circumstances do arise, please contact us, and we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
  • How many spots are available for each Group class?
There are a maximum of 5 clients for each Reformer Group class. In order for class to continue as scheduled, there should be minimum of 3 clients. For Group class, you can see available spot(s) online and you can book based on availability.
  • Can I still join the class if I am late?
You may not be able to join, if you are more than 10 minutes late to your class or session. Please spare at least 15 minutes for you to arrive, park, check in, change clothes and put your belongings in the locker prior to your scheduled class or session.
  • Who should join Private session?
Private sessions are created to tailor individual needs and greatly benefit those with injuries or physical limitations such as back issues, osteoporosis, or pre/post-natal clients. Instructors of Private sessions are also able to support your specific fitness goals and develop routines that are suitable for you.
  • I am currently pregnant. Can I still do Pilates?
If you do not have any complications, it is safe for to do Pilates during pregnancy. We do have instructors who have completed pre and post natal Pilates teaching courses, that you can book for Private sessions.
  • What should I know before booking a Duet Pilates session?
We're excited to offer Duet Pilates sessions, which are a fantastic way to enhance your practice with the motivation and support of a partner. To get the most out of these sessions, it's key to choose a partner who matches your physical abilities and fitness goals. This ensures that both of you can progress at a similar pace and fully benefit from the exercises. Additionally, syncing up your training schedules is crucial to maintain consistency and make the most out of each session.

We do have several parking slots available in front of our studio. The studio is not liable for any loss of valuables or vehicles.
